As the College's 100th anniversary approached in 1975, the Wellesley Alumnae Association produced a number of publications that evoked the theme of "a woman's place." The campus is many things at once: a safehaven, a hotbed, a playground, a battlefield.

No matter what the mood or moment, however, Wellesley is always a woman's place. (And it is in many ways a man's place, too, though there are certainly times when the campus must feel extremely inhospitable to those with a Y chromosome!)

When I have a chance to do it justice, I will lay out an homage to the place that drew you to this site.
